Iulian Fota

PhD.Iulian Fota is Secretary of State for Strategic Affairs, with a career in public service of over 25 years. With both political or parliamentary and governmental experience, Iulian Fota has held various important responsibilities in areas such as foreign policy, armed defence, military diplomacy and national security.

Radu TUDOR

Over 30 years of experience in the media as a TV presenter and military analyst, editorialist and radio collaborator. Moderator and guest at several events on institutions, forums and NGOs for defence, security, intelligence and foreign affairs: NATO, SHAPE, Aspen Institute, Marshal and others.
Awarded in 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2014 and 2015 by the Association of Romanian Television Professionals (APTR).
Radu Tudor has been Jane’s Defence Weekly orrespondent in Romania since 2000. He is the author of 4 books on defence, security, foreign affairs and politics.

Greg SIMONS

Professor Greg Simons is a researcher at IRES, Uppsala University and a lecturer at the Department of Communication Sciences, Turiba University, Riga, Latvia. His research interests include Russian media, public diplomacy and soft power, communication in crisis management, media and armed conflict. Dr. Simons is the author/editor of numerous refereed articles, chapters and books.

With two decades of experience in the SRI, from Anti-terrorist officer to pro-rector of the National Academy of Intelligence, Professor Cristian Barna, PhD, is Associate Professor of the Faculty of History, Babes Bolyai University of Cluj Napoca and of the Faculty of Sociology and Social Assistance, University of Bucharest, Master’s degree, security studies.

James Sack, who taught at UIC until his retirement in 2014, continues to teach British and Irish history and Western civilization. His first book was The Grenvillites: Party Politics and Factionalism in the Age of Pitt and Liverpool (University of Illinois Press, 1979). He is currently working on a two-volume study of British Tory political ideology and the press in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. The first volume was published by Cambridge University Press in 1993 under the title From Jacobite to Conservative: Reaction and Orthodoxy in Britain, 1760-1832 (Cambridge, 1993). The volume appeared in paperback in 2005.
